Living, working and playing in the Manitoulin area with family and friends is what life is all about for Al. His family ties to the island date back to the late 1800’s in the Spring Bay area and since 1905 in the Lee Valley area on the North Shore. Al has worked on Manitoulin since 1995 where he and his wife Jocelyne raised their 3 children. Al and his family often meet up at «the cabin» which they built together on Maple Lake situated on the LaCloche Mountain range. Admittedly a workaholic, Al is always balancing work, chores, fun and games. He even went a step above the rest and obtained his full real estate broker’s license. Come spring, he’s busy getting the sugar bush ready for another season of maple syrup. Al enjoys running marathons and hopes to one day climb Mount Kilimanjaro. He believes that the most important things in life are family "which now include 3 grandchildren", friends and good health. Al has decades of experience managing a thriving retail enterprise on Manitoulin and brings a high level of organization and work ethic to the Rolston team.
